Green Briar O30 2:2 North Shore Utd. (4:2 pens)
The Over 30 side led by Paul Glynn, marched into the TSL final with a dramatic win on penalty kicks in Boxford this past Wednesday night. Having just 12 players at their disposal and suffering a red card in the match only further highlights the great achievement.
Paul Glynn led by example with the opening goal for the Briar, and the assist on the equalizer which was scored with the last meaningful touch of the match. Diran Balekian who has been in a rich vein of form succeeded in getting his head on a corner in the dying moments.
Jason Sullo stepped up during the PK's with 3 saves from 5. While the Briar themselves were not perfect from the spot they did enoughto earn the final berth.
